Are you looking for a way to be more involved at Ballantyne Elementary? One of the most valuable opportunities for family engagement is the School Leadership Team (SLT). The SLT serves in an advisory role by supporting the principal, helping to set the mission & goals of the school and is charged with writing and overseeing the School Improvement Plan which provides strategies for creating school and student success. Parents, teachers, and administrators meet once a month to accomplish these goals.
If you are interested in nominating yourself for this critical three year volunteer role, please complete the following electronic application by Friday, September 6th, 2019. All nominations will be collected and compiled on a paper ballot for a school-wide parent vote available and sent home on Tuesday, September 10th, 2019. Paper ballots will be due Friday, September 13th, 2019. Elected SLT parent members will be notified by Tuesday, September 17, 2019 and our first SLT meeting will be on September 18th at 7:15 am in the media center.
